Lost Colony of Roanoke
What happened to the 108 colonists left at Roanoke Island?
What happened to the 108 colonists left at Roanoke Island? No one can really know what happened to the 108 colonists. But there is evidence that can provides the proof that they moved westward up the Albemarle Sound to the confluence of the Chowan and Roanoke rivers, " said James Horn, vice president of research and historical interpretation at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. After that they just disappeared some say they died of starvation the rest will be left to unkown. There maybe also evidence, a patch from the White's 425-year-old "Virginea Pars". There is two patches and one was made from a mistake then the other is what hides to be a fort but not no ordinary fort a different fort. It's unclear to why someone had to have made a symbol on the patch maybe it wasn't for a fort maybe it's something more.
