Inference Definition

An inference is a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.

Examples

1. "This internet is so slow!" For this example, I can infer that there is a problem with the internet connection or the internet is very cheap because the person claimed for it to be slow.

2. "Our fish is dead!" For this example, I can infer that there was a complication with the fish, or the owners did not nourish the fish enough, causing it to become deceased.

3. "There's a dog in the middle of the road with blood splattered everywhere!" For this example, I can infer that the canine was "confronted" with the front bumper of a car, and that it was walking in the middle of the street before he was "confronted".

4.

For this example, I can infer that the soccer player is about to have foot-to-ball contact with the soccer ball, and the soccer would then hit the cat in the face. I can also infer that the cat is knowing of this, hence his face being scared.
