This Friday, May 16th
Springfest is, more or less, all you can dream of in an on-campus party-- Live music, food, cornhole, soccer, poker, a coffeehouse, a water gun war, prizes galore-- all capping off the illustrious Class Competition Day. It will last from around 6-11. Admission is free, tournaments and food are gonna cost ya. All Ignatius men can come, and ladies from anywhere (yes even public school) are very welcome.
Play this jam^^^ while you look on because it's really cool and I feel like it fits the theme.
Music will be provided from Ignatius-affiliated bands and senior Camden Stacey on the turntables (like as in DJing). Rex Larkman (the weird drummer dude) is planning on playing in two of the bands during the night (Proud of you Rexxy!)
There will be food! Hotdogs and hamburgers freshly grilled under the supervision of our "head grill master" Jacob H. Rossi, whose last day on the job will be Friday. Chips and drinks will also be served, and additional sides might be for sale as well.
There will be a campus wide squirt gun fight. Dust off the old Super Soaker Arctic Shock and get some backyard practice in before the big fight.
Poker! Email President Zupan (email@example.com) to join. No you won't be playing ultra talented, super cute kitties, but it'll still be a good time.
There will be a cornhole tournament! Find a friend and sign up. A small cash fee will be asked of you, but it's well worth cornholian glory and a grand prize. Once the tournament progresses and there are open boards, you are welcome to have friendly exhibition matches.
The last of the tournaments will be 3-on-3 soccer on Wasmer! If you can kick a ball, you can play soccer, so sign up!
What are games without prizes?!? Virtually nothing, that's what. So naturally we got some prizes to satiate your innate human need of compensation for your greatness: 50" LED HDTV, a new Surface Tablet, and a $150 Chipotle gift card!!
Last but not least there will be a coffeehouse event for the more intellectual, deep-thinking, artsy, crowd. Anyone is encouraged to share his or her talent during the coffeehouse-- poetry, song, stand-up, yoyoing, funny tweet reading, interpretive dancing, the list endlessly ensues.
