During the industrial revolution many children were put to work in mills and factories which caused childhood injuries and occasionally death. As many downsides to the industrial revolution the innovation from the period of time cancelled it out. Not only did the invention mills make making clothes easier, it allowed everyone to have clothes at a cheaper price. The industrial revolution also inspired people to get innovative and create something new. For example because mills required power by water mills, it inspired people to make ways to get power like the steam engine. The steam engine allowed mills to get power but made it so that they didn't need to be by a river to get power. This is just one of many innovations that came to be in the industrial revolution. If the industrial revolution didn’t happen then many people would have never moved into cities and many of innovations me have today might not exist.
