Former Police Officer and School Administrator Steven Contino

After completing his undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Queens College in New York City, Steven Contino matriculated at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, to earn his master of education. From 1981 to 2004, he served as an officer of the law with the New York City Police Department. Steven Contino earned numerous promotions over the course of his years of service and ultimately retired at the rank of detective sergeant.

In 2007, Mr. Contino began a second career in public school administration, accepting an assistant principal position at Nazareth Regional High School in Brooklyn, New York. In charge of all student affairs, he supervised a wide range of educational, athletic, and extracurricular social activities.

Since 2010, Steven Contino has been enjoying his retirement by playing golf and refereeing basketball. He particularly likes watching his son play college basketball and working out with his daughter.
