About Steve Thull
An accomplished businessman, Steve Thull
owns a horse riding stable operation, ranches grazing cattle, and
produces over 100 tons of irrigated Timothy Hay annually in Pagosa
Springs, Colorado. An executive with Wyndham Vacation Ownership, a large
international hospitality corporation, Steve Thull enjoys ranching in
his spare time, and he has drawn inspiration from this to create two of
his own businesses: Pagosa Land and Cattle Company, and Diamond Hitch
The Pagosa Land and Cattle Company leases over 3,000 acres of land in the south San Juan Mountains, which Steve Thull and his staff use for hay production, as well as to raise and farm horses. The company breeds the healthiest, most ideal stallions and broodmares that result in excellent temperament, color, and confirmation. The mares are bred in the pasture, and the company raises the foals in a ranch herd environment. Pagosa Land and Cattle Company sells horses of many breeds, colors, and ages.
Steve Thull also owns Diamond Hitch Stables, a sub-company of the Pagosa Land and Cattle Company. Diamond Hitch Stables offers trail riding and horse boarding. In particular, the company focuses on helping people find the right horse, as well as horse training and providing pony rides for younger children from 30 minutes to two hours in length. In addition to traditional trail rides, Steven L. Thull’s staff also provides more unique riding experiences such as s’more rides, cowboy adventures, and campfire rides, which include dinner. Diamond Hitch Stables is also in the process of developing an affordable horse boarding program which would house horses in the company’s barn. Steve Thull has made his passion for ranching into a successful business venture.
