Award-winning hotelier Steve Wynn leads Wynn Resorts, Limited, as the company’s chairman of the board and chief executive officer. In this role, Steve Wynn has spearheaded its expansion from one hotel casino opened in 2005, the Wynn Las Vegas, to two resort hotels with secondary hotel casinos at each, the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas and the Encore at Wynn Macau. His company also operates the Monte Carlo.

Over the course of his more than 40-year career in the resort business, Stephen A. Wynn has garnered accolades from a number of publications, including Time Magazine, which named him one of the World’s 100 Most Influential People for 2006. Additionally, Forbes Magazine recognized him as a 2007 Captain of Capitalism, and Barron’s included him in its 2011 listing of the world’s 30 best CEOs. He was inducted into the AGA (American Gaming Association) Hall of Fame in 2006, and has received the Manfred Steinfeld Humanitarian Award in addition to honorary doctorates from the University of Pennsylvania, Johnson & Wales University, The Culinary Institute of America, Sierra College, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Wynn’s company has earned recognition as well. Fortune Magazine featured Wynn Resorts as one of the most admired companies worldwide for five years running, from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, Fortune Magazine ranked the resort business number 26 on its list of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies; it was the only Nevada-based company featured in the article. When interviewed, Stephen Wynn cited the growth of its business in Macau and the consistent delivery of a high-quality product as key factors in the company’s continued success.
