About Sula Mazimba
A Cardiology Fellow with the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, Ohio, Dr. Sula Mazimba provides medical services to a diverse range of medical patients.
Recently completing a Master of Public Health from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Sula Mazimba builds on the academic structure of the MD he earned at the University of Zambia. A former resident of Zambia, Dr. Sula Mazimba immigrated to the United States, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine with the Wright State Kettering Medical Center for Medicine. Dr. Sula Mazimba currently serves the greater Dayton area as a Fellow in Cardiology, where he studies alongside some of the top cardiologists in Ohio.
Before beginning his fellowship in the cardiology department of Kettering Medical Center, Dr. Sula Mazimba published a case study on congestive heart failure. By comparing preadmission symptoms with 30-day readmissions, Dr. Sula Mazimba discussed the idea of quality of care and hospital readmission. His findings were published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. A frequent contributor to various medical publications, Dr. Sula Mazimba has shared his medical knowledge with such publications as the Adventist International Medical Society Journal.
On a medical missionary trip to Zambia, he journeyed with other medical professionals to provide free healthcare and bible study to villagers in need. Dr. Sula Mazimba holds the position of Vice President of the Pan-African Organization for Health, Education and Research (POHER), which is active in the empowerment of poor African countries through free healthcare and education.
