"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"A quote from George Santayana. This quote's message is "The people that don't know what happened in the past will end up repeating the event"Don't believe me?Here's some evidence to prove it.
For my first piece of evidence I used the book "The Wave"by Todd Strasser. This book supports my quote because in it the teachers teaches his students about the Holocaust so they won't end up repeating the event again. The class study also ended as a world wide thing so not only the class was part of the study, the world was part of it too. That's how the book supports my quote.
My second piece of evidence is the film "Life Is Beautiful"by Roberto Benigni. This film shows how horrible the Holocaust was. Then film is also very famous so many people have seen it.This film also show everyone how almost everyone acted in the Holocaust. That's how the film "Life Is Beautiful"supports my quote.
My last piece of evidence that I'm using is the poem "Terrible Things"by Eve Bunting. The poem shows how the Nazi's brought Jews in groups to camps. The animals represent the Jews and the Terrible Things represent the Nazi's.This also shows how they came for specific type. That's how the poem "Terrible Things"support my quote.
"The people that do t know what happened in the past will end up repeating the event again"We teach people about the past so they won't repeat the event. If you take action now the children of the future will be safe.Think about the children.
