About Susan Ball-Kell
A distinguished scholar in the fields of laboratory animal
medicine and pathology, Dr. Susan Ball-Kell is the president of Global
Path Imaging and Consulting, a company she started in 2010. The firm
offers services ranging from microscopic analysis of laboratory animal
research tissues to digital imaging of histologic slides. At Global Path
Imaging and Consulting, Dr. Susan Ball-Kell is also a veterinary
pathologist and digital imaging consultant.
In addition, Dr. Susan Ball-Kell is an adjunct clinical associate professor at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine where she serves as a laboratory animal pathology consultant and teaches laboratory animal pathology to veterinary medical students and anatomic pathology residents.
Throughout her career, Dr. Susan Ball-Kell has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science, Comparative Medicine, Lab Animal, Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Gastroenterology, and the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. One of her recent publications, "Subacute toxicity (90 days) of StemEnhance in Wistar rats", was published in Nutrition and Dietary Supplements.
Dr. Ball-Kell graduated with a doctor of veterinary medicine and a doctor of philosophy in pathology and environmental toxicology from Michigan State University.
