Experienced Pulmonologist and Medical Educator
A member of the American College of Chest Physicians, Sushil Gupta, MD, formerly served as medical director for Pulmonary Care, PC, in New Haven, Connecticut. Besides managing the practice, he performed all aspects of lung and critical care for his patients while maintaining high professional standards respected by his colleagues. Prior to joining Pulmonary Care, Sushil Gupta, MD, worked as a pulmonologist for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Group, PC. In this position, he treated patients for respiratory conditions in both the practice office and local hospitals, as well as instructed medical students, physicians, and health-care staff.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Gupta has written articles for scholarly publications, such as the Journal of Respiratory Diseases, and delivered presentations at professional gatherings sponsored by organizations like the American College of Physicians. He received the Dr. John N. Vecchio Outstanding Teacher Award for medical instruction provided between 2002 and 2003 at the Hospital of Saint Raphael. Qualified across several specialties, Sushil Gupta, MD, possesses board certification in critical care, pulmonary, and internal medicine.
Currently, Dr. Gupta helps develop policy, procedure handbooks, and marketing and growth strategy for Hamden Sleep Disorders Centers and Sleep Disorders Centers of Connecticut. Along with his professional work in the medical field, he organizes free health and wellness education forums for members of his community.
