Life in Medieval Towns

Medieval towns were growing up around castles , monasteries and along trade routs . These busy towns became centers of trade and industry . Mostly all medieval towns were surrounded in thick walls for protection . The people from the outside visited through gates around the thick wall . Many different jobs and businesses were scattered around the streets , as well as homes . By the high middle ages , medieval towns were beginning to increase their populations . Many of the merchants whom sold their goods in towns became permanent residents .  Guilds provided help and protection for the people living in a medieval town . They also took care of complaints from the city . The guilds in my opinion were like probably considered as a the moms . Medieval towns had days were they would bring their on cattle to a market and try to sell it to other people in the city . The history of medieval towns is far below and all we have to do is dig a little farther to discover them .
