What Is It?

-Hypertension, or HBP, is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high.

Causes

Primary hypertension has no known cause. However, secondary hypertension is caused by an underlying condition (i.e. Kidney or thyroid disease, drug abuse, medications, etc.).

Symptoms

-headaches

-fatigue

-confusion

-sight problems

-chest pain

-irregular heartbeats

-difficulty breathing

-bloody urine

-pounding in the neck/chest/ears


Diagnostic Test

The diagnostic test for hypertension is having your blood pressure taken and examined.
