Albinism is a defect that results in little or no color in the skin, hair, and eyes.
There are many types of albinism some severe, some not. One type of albinism only effects the eyes and their color. The most severe type of albinism is called oculocutaneous albinism. People with this type of albinism can have vision problems, and white or pink skin, or hair. There is also ocular albinism which only effects the eyes.
Complications of Albinism: Albinism can cause lower in visibility, or even blindness albinism is also known to cause skin cancer.
Symptoms: Whitening in the skin, eyes, or hair.
Tests: Genetic tests are the only known way to be sure that someone has albinism.
Albinism isnt known to lower lifespan. However it can lower lifespan do to diseases caused by the defect like skin cancer.
