MARIE CURIE'S DISCOVERIES

Marie Curie was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland. She found out how to define the atomic weight of Radium and Polonium plus there place on the periodic system and was the first person ever to discover a methode for extracting pure Radium salts and metal. Curie won 2 Nobel Prizes, first in Physics in 1903 and then in 1911 for chemistry. On July 4, 1934 Curie dies of leukemia caused by over exposure ot radiation. But her discoveries helped people raise awareness of the harmful effects of Radium and Polonium. She her work also helped cure cancer and cure middle ear poblems and enlarged tonsils.
