Clawson Classroom News

We had a great week this week!  Thank you for everyone who volunteered at the zoo.  We had a blast and it was largely because of you all!  Lots of students reached their reading level goal for the end of 4th quarter and many are about their for sight words as well.  We are closing in on finishing our study on animals and writing informational books about animals that we researched.  In math we have been learning to add and subtract tens and ones.  Students should now be familiar with and able to do two digit addition and subtraction. Spelling tests went home yesterday.  Please be working on the words that your child missed.  There will be a follow up test next week.

Today we had a day full of science.  We learned about sublimation from Mad Science, storms from Chris Suchan, and animals from the Zoo Mobile.  Students also got to do their own experiment by trying their hands at the Marshmallow Challenge again.  Take a look at the short slideshow from today's activities.
