Maverick Message

Dear Parents:

As I sit in my office on this Sunday afternoon, I look outside and see this gorgeous yellow object in the sky...the sun! I am so thankful to see it and I hope that we can get  five full days of school in this week. I think you will agree with me when I say that we all need to get back to a normal schedule.

We had a wonderful week Celebrating Seuss. From special dress up days to special classroom events...we all shared our love for reading.

Thank you to all who participated in the Ice Day Challenge that I issued on Thursday morning. I truly enjoyed seeing our students' goals, adventures, and dreams. Check them out here:

Over the weekend some of our students competed in the Hoover Math Tournament. Congratulations to:

Sohan Mynampally-10th place

James Yoo-11th place

John Yoo-15th place

This week is a busy one at Mill Creek. As some of you are aware, Madison City Schools is going through accreditation this year. Two elementary schools were chosen for the accreditation team to visit. Mill Creek is one of them. On Tuesday morning we open our doors and classrooms to these visitors. We are very excited for the team to see what amazing things we have going on in our school.

We will be offering Extended Day/Summer Camp this year at Mill Creek. Click here to see the flyer and registration forms.

I look forward to another amazing week being a Maverick!
