About Tammy Karamarinov

Building on more than 12 years of experience as a commissioned U.S. Air Force officer, Tammy Karamarinov has served as a pharmacist at Hurlburt Air Force Base, Ft Walton Beach Florida, for the past three years. She coordinates daily with providers to ensure correct drug therapy. At a 2010 national conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she presented a paper on "Trauma and MASCAL Response."

Ms. Karamarinov completed her pharmacy degree at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. She earned membership in the Phi Lambda Sigma pharmacy leadership society and served as Vice Regent of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Gamma Omicron chapter. Ms. Karamarinov originally entered the Air Force in 1979 and again in the mid-1990s as an officer-in-charge of inpatient and outpatient pharmacies. Her responsibilities included the daily supervision of 85 staff members. Tammy Karamarinov retired from the Air Force in 2008 with a ceremony held in her hometown of Abingdon, Virginia. Colors were posted and the flag folding performed by the University of Tennessee Honor Guard.
