University of Southern California

Established in 1880, the University of Southern California was nothing more than a campus lying about in an bare area of land. Today it is populated with more than 41,000 students and 3,800 full-time faculty staff. In addition to having an abundant population this university remains home to all sorts momentous moments and achievements. In my near future I hope to receive an acceptance letter so that I may walk upon their concrete and open the door to my future career.

After my high school years I plan on attending the University of Southern California to pursue my bachelors in music production and science. For as long as I can remember I have always had this deep passion for music and the feeling it gives people. With this passion  that I have developed I want to help others accomplish their dreams of their music being heard around the world.

Application Process

Campus Life

On campus, one is sure to never miss out on a memorable experience with all sorts of activities, clubs, and even athletics that are available to students. There is literally no boundaries to the amount of organizations that are offered such as choir, Greek councils, sports, and tons more! However, if you ever feel that your an outcast and that you'll never fit in be quick to shake that feeling because with more than 43,000 other attending individuals its no surprise that you'll have at least one friend. With luck your new acquaintance would happily join you in some of the festivities taking place like a good'ol Trojan football game. You'll both be blended in with a mix of cardinal and gold singing the classic fight song cheering on the Trojans and the Traveler mascot. And if your not into the whole "sports" ordeal you can absolutely be apart of other events such as the Bubble Bowl or the Sundance Film Festival.

Career Path

As freshmen, the same never ending question is always being brought up, "What do you want to do as an adult?" Well now that, that thought is always in the back of my mind I have come to the realization that I now know who and what I want to become. Growing up I've always had an interest in music no matter the genre the song landed in, and I was fascinated about how an ordinary individual could create a rhythm or beat that tons of millions of people would sing or dance to. In addition I was completely mesmerized by the fact that music has no gender and it does not fall to a specific race, but it generally can make someone happy or sad and that in it self is amazing because even most humans don't have the capability to do that to one another. So, in a couple years after I graduate from high school I aspire to become a producer/ manager in the music industry. As I have previously stated my plan is to attend the University of Southern California and receive my bachelors in music-music production and my bachelors in science.

By the time that I have graduated with both of my degree's I expect myself to already have a stable job in the music industry and continue to move up. I want to be recognized as a committed, hardworking producer who has no limits to the amount of dedication when it comes to working with my clients. As more of a long term goal I want to be my own boss running my own record label someday. It's my intention to go above and beyond in life so that I feel that anything I want is never impossible, but that it's achievable.

With having a career as a music producer someone is able to incorporate both musical and vocal elements to create a piece of work that is possibly never heard before with an end product that flows well together.  Being a music producer does vary in the requirements needed to pursue the career, for example you can have experience in courses, or you can actually have a four year bachelor in music production or music business. As well as the education salary varies with how experienced you are in your profession; meaning that the more years on your plate having and working on that job the more you will get payed. On an average a mean salary of $54,560 is made with $19 an hour, however salaries can vary from $32K to $165K.
