Uranus

Uranus is the seventh planet in the solar system and is a greenish-blue color. The atmosphere is made up of hydrogen, helium, and methane.  The methane in Uranus' atmosphere gives it its greenish-blue color. The mass of the blue and green planet is 8.683e25kg. Its distance from the Sun is 2.9 billion. Because of the far away distance from the Sun it is made mostly out of ice. The rotation period, in Earth days, is .7 days and the revolution period, in Earth years, is 84 years.

Uranus has 27 moons. All of them were named after the works of William Shakespeare and Alexander Pope. Uranus' axis is almost parallel to the ecliptic. The planet was discovered by William Herschel. Uranus has thirteen known rings. The inner rings are narrow and dark, and the outer rings are brightly colored. Voyager 2 was the only spacecraft to be on Uranus. The average temperature of the planet Uranus is -216 degrees celsius. Because of it's distance from the sun it is known as a ice giant, along with the other outer planets.
