An electrical apparatus that by means of suction collects dust and small particles from floors and other surfaces. The impact that the vacuum cleaner has it's in society is significant, as electricity was becoming available, and our cultural need to keep things cleaned up was beginning to happen. The vacuum cleaner would increase the frequency of cleaning to once a week instead of once a season or once a year and involve fewer people. The vacuum cleaner was invented by Hubert Cecil Booth on August 30, 1901 Booth's machine took the form of a large, horse-drawn, petrol-driven unit, which was parked outside the building to be cleaned with long hoses being fed through the windows.   The vacuum cleaner evolved from the carpet sweeper via manual vacuum cleaners of operation were essentially the same as the vacuum cleaners of today
