Terry Pigott’s career in finance extends back to the late 1970s, when he served as accountant with the International Paper Company in Monroe, Louisiana. He subsequently joined the container-shipping company Maersk Line’s treasurer’s department and completed an MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Terry Pigott became a T-bill trader with First Interstate Bank of California’s U.S. government bond trading desk in the mid-1980s. Joining Daiwa Securities America in 1988, he began as a T-bill trader and ultimately earned positions as trading desk head and fixed-income head. He also held a strategic role on the firm’s management committee.
