The Life of Henry Ford
Henry ford did not invent the automobile. He did not invent the assembly line. He was responsible for transforming the automobile from an invention of unknown utility into an new method. The Model T was easy to operate, maintain, and handle on rough roads. It immediately became a huge success.
He was born on his fathers farm in what is now Dearborn, Michigan on July 30, 1863. He organized other boys to build rudimentary water wheels and steam engines. Ford could have followed his father footsteps to become a farmer but he was fascinated by machines. In 1879 he left the farm to become an apprentice at the Michigan Car Company, a manufacturer of railroad cars in Detroit. Over the next two-and-one-half years he held several similar jobs, sometimes moving when he thought he could learn more somewhere else.
When Henry Start mass producing cars
On December 1, in 1913, Henry Ford installs the first moving assembly line for the mass production of an entire automobile. His innovation reduced the time it took to build a car from more than 12 hours to two hours and 30 minutes. His father was a farmer. He encouraged Henry’s interest in the use of machines on the farm. Also Henry was fired from his first job. One more Interesting facts is. Thomas Edison was Henry Ford’s role model and later his close friend.
Henry Ford Death Date
Henry died on April 7, 1947. He died at 11:40 at night at the age of 83. When he retired Mr. Ford was in excellent health, but turned over the management of the vast empire to his grandson.
