Running of the Bulls Pamplona, Spain
This information is on how running of the bulls happens.
Running of the bulls is when 8 or 9 bulls are released into the streets that are closed and let them run through the streets along with people. The bulls run straight through the streets plowing over the men who can’t run faster than them. Once they have gone through the whole street way they run on, they go into an arena. There they herd all of the bulls into tunnel and the race is over.
The running of the bulls takes place on July 6th- 14th. There is a run each of these days. The event usually only takes about four minutes but it can be up to ten minutes mostly when one bull is separated from the rest. If you are out of shape then this event isn’t for you. You can easily watch behind a double fence so it is safe for spectators to easily watch the bulls run across the street.
This is a bull that left it's fellow bulls and now it's chasing the two men, poor fellows.
The running of the bulls started in Pamplona, Spain in the 13th century. It started as a way to move the bulls from Pamplona’s corral (where they keep all the bulls) to the bullfighting ring. The run is half a mile long and in the old days the children and women would herd the bulls to the arena. Now you must be 18 years or older, and anyone over 18 can run. After the run everyone can go up into the stands of the arena where they can watch some classic bullfighting.
