The malcontents are an interesting group. You probably were not aware of this very intriguing fact that the malcontents had no assistance whatsoever from Georgia, thus this probably led to the very low loyalty shown to the trustees from the malcontents. below is the definition of malcontents.
: a person who is always or often unhappy or angry about something( Merriam-Webster).
The reason the malcontents were unhappy was because of the rules the trustees laid down which included, no buying or selling land, no drinking, trading, or selling hard rum, and no slaves. These rules made the malcontents really mad so now whenever someone grumbles about someone or something, their not a griper, there a malcontent. Wow, what a way to remember the malcontents!
Eventually the royal governors came along and overturned those rules that the malcontents despised. This act led to a boost in the governor's popularity and such. You could see why the malcontents were so loyal to the Royal Governors.
