Book: The Warriors Heart/By: Eric Greitens
Character Analysis: Eric Greitens, the main character and author of the story, was a humanitarian who healed orphans in Rwanda and lived in camps alongside Bosnian refugees. He was also a warrior that excelled at the hardest military training in the world, he teamed up with fellow SEALs to hunt down the al Qaeda terrorist group in Iraq.
Exposition: The settings of this story are Rwanda, Bosnia, China, Croatia, England, Zaire, Iraq, and many more. Eric Greitens is the main character of this book.
Rising Action: Eric has always been worrying about getting into college so he was always trying to get good grades, and trying to earn money by doing things like mowing lawns in the summer, and shoveling snow in the winter.
Rising Action: Eric was also learning lessons throughout life and volunteering for lots of things.
Rising Action: He flew to China when he was 18 and studied the art of Kung Fu, and taught English to the people in Beijing.
Rising Action: He takes boxing lessons and throughout that period of time, Eric learns courage both in and out of the ring.
Climax: Eric decides to go to Officer Candidate School (OCS), so he can become a Navy SEAL. This is the climax because the main character (Eric) makes the decision that turns the story around.
Falling Action: Eric graduates from OCS and is officially a Navy SEAL.
Resolution: Eric and his men hunt down al Queda. This book was about choices, making the right choices, knowing your options and what choices you will make in your life.
