Galileo Galilei was a physicist, mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher who played a major role in the Scientific Revolution. He invented the thermometer in 1593. He was also the first person to use the telescope and see the skies and the rings of Saturn. He also saw the four major moons of planet Jupiter. This thermometer was different from the thermometer that we use today.
