In fact, Westchester Weddings has featured Todd Shapera’s wedding photography numerous times as "Wedding of the Month" and "Wedding of the Year." Most recently, he was included in the 2014 annual wedding issue with a wed photos that the editors dubbed “A Winter Wonderland Ceremony in Tarrytown.”

As a global photojournalist for some of the world’s leading foundations, Todd Shapera draws on his story telling when photographing weddings. In 2013, he was awarded an Africa photography fellowship following a global competition with 250 applicants. It was awarded by Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and The judges credited Shapera’s ability to capture the dignity of people in humble communities. Earlier, in 2012, he documented a $500 million U.S. AID and Winrock International project to rehabilitate war-ravaged Northern Uganda.

In the arts, Shapera was commissioned by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund to create multi-media pieces documenting two dance company residencies - Ballet Hispanico and Monica Bill Barnes - at the Pocantico Center near Tarrytown, New York. His work was recently included in ArtsWestchester's dance photography exhibition, "Grace in Motion".

Todd has a B.A. from Vassar College and a M.A. from Colombia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
