Knowledge and Individualism are the two most important transcendentalist beliefs. They both go hand in hand in a sense that people can choose to go above and beyond others in order to further their understandings of everyday life. An individual does what he or she feels is necessary to better themselves and be happy. Once you feel a sense of comfort in who you truly are, true happiness and peace is achieved. One no longer has to worry about the next trend or trying to appeal to others. The only opinion of yourself that should matter is your own. The happiness of your individualism will radiate to others and become contagious to others. This will promote the journey of self-discovery to more and more people and the cycle will continue. During the journey to better yourself, knowledge is acquired from wanting to understand everything else when you have all of your emotions, beliefs and interest figured out. Knowledge of many things will help you with simple and difficult task in life. There is no such thing as useless knowledge. Knowledge is power.
