Juvenile Detention Counseling

I want to become a juvenile detention counselor. My responsibility would be the care, custody, safety, and welfare of the juveniles.

I would like to work for the Rubenstein Center in Davis, West Virginia.

Schooling at minimum a Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, counseling or a closely related field. Schooling is on average 4-5 years.

I would go to WVU or Ohio State University to get my counseling degree with an emphasis with juveniles.

Some obstacles may include paying my tuition and other expenses of college. Another obstacle may be keeping my grades up.

I plan to overcome these obstacles by getting scholarships, working a job, and studying hard.
