Frederick Douglass

Background Information: Born in February 1818 through February 1895. Frederick was a social reformer, orator, writer, and a statesman.

Accomplishments: In 1845 Douglass published a book about being an American slave. He also spoke at an abolitionists meeting to help stop slavery. Frederick Douglass created a newspaper called North Star. Douglass did this for rights towards women.
