The sting rays individual habitat
Common along the shores in bays and estuaries. Prefer sand/silt bottom, will bury themselves to camouflage. These stingrays migrate to the Caribbean in the winter.
Define Population and individual
all the inhabitants of a particular town, area, or country.
Stingrays like to swim some are pelagic and swim all of the time, and some like to rest on the sea floor and will bury themselves under the sand. This is one of the reasons that people accidentally tread on them. Stingrays hide order the sand to avoid predators like sharks, and also to ambush their prey. Stingrays are masters of camouflage and will be practically invisible and may only have their eyes above the sand. Stingrays are an important part of the ecosystem, and they are also valuable as a ecological attraction whether in aquariums.
These fish are in their community. They are swimming together and they are protecting each other.
DEFINE: Community and Ecosystem
a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.
a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment.
Abiotic and Biotic
Organisms interact with biotic and abiotic factors. The biotic factors are the living things in an ecosystem.while the abiotic factors are the non-living things.fungi is a biotic factor that decomposes the remains of living things which keep the soil rich in neutrients.
Protists are mostly single-celled organisms that have a nucleus. They usually live in water. Some protists move around, while others stay in one place.
Fungi are usually motionless organisms that absorb nutrients to stay alive.
Plants contain chlorophyll, a green pigment necessary for photosynthesis, a process in which plants convert energy from sunlight into food. Their cell walls are made sturdy by a material called cellulose, and they are fixed in one place.
Animals are the most complex organisms on Earth. Animals are multi-celled organisms, eat food for survival, and have nervous systems. They are divided into vertebrates and invertebrates and include mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds and fish.
Food chain/ food web in the picture we have blue whale, killer whale, leopard seal, weddell and rose seals, emperor penguin, adelie penguin, seabirds, small fish and squid, phytoplankton, krill. They all work togather and live in same communtiy.
These pictures right here are all abiotic.
