Genotype is what makes the trait - the information within a gene, or the genetic makeup of a specific organism. Genotype is determined by the makeup of something called "alleles," a word that refers to the form of a gene that produces different effects
Phenotype:the set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction of its genotype with the environment.
Recessive:relating to or denoting heritable characteristics controlled by genes that are expressed in offspring only when inherited from both parents, i.e., when not masked by a dominant characteristic inherited from one parent.
Dominate:In genetics, a trait that will appear in the offspring if one of the parents contributes it. ( Compare recessive trait.)
