Hiroshima-Loss
By Emma Spencer

My theme is the loss because of the deaths in the Hiroshima bombing.

This is a burial mound from the Hiroshima Bombing.

                                          Bleeding Out by Imagine Dragons

I'm bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is bring you down
I'll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
I'm bleeding out
I'm bleeding out for you, for you.

When the day has come
That I've lost my way around
And the seasons stop and hide beneath the ground
When the sky turns gray
And everything is screaming
I will reach inside
Just to find my heart is beating

Oh, you tell me to hold on
Oh, you tell me to hold on
But innocence is gone
And what was right is wrong

'Cause I'm bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is to bring you down
I'll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And I'm bleeding out
I'm bleeding out for you (for you)

When the hour is nigh
And hopelessness is sinking in
And the wolves all cry
To fill the night with hollering
When your eyes are red
And emptiness is all you know
With the darkness fed
I will be your scarecrow

You tell me to hold on
Oh you tell me to hold on
But innocence is gone
And what was right is wrong

'Cause I'm bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is to bring you down
I'll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And I'm bleeding out
I'm bleeding out for you, for you.

I'm bleeding out for you (for you)
I'm bleeding out for you (for you)
I'm bleeding out for you (for you)
I'm bleeding out for you

'Cause I'm bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is to bring you down
I'll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And I'm bleeding out

I'm bleeding out for you, for you.

Poem

In Hiroshima the bomb was dropped

From the Enola Gay

Everyone stopped

All they could do was hope and pray

Shadows from those so close

Gone within seconds

Disease to those exposed

No one could process what happened

The city so silent

It was already gone

The flash so vibrant

Failed to go on

Bodies scattered

Left prints on the streets

Windows shattered

Empty seats

How I would help...

If I could help the people of Hiroshima when the bomb dropped I would have provided medical assistance. I have little knowledge of medicine but I would try to learn and at least provide reassurance to those scared and in shock. I might be in shock but I would know what needs to be done.

my video...

This is the scene in Nemo when Coral dies. This represents my theme because Marlin is so sad and heartbroken at the loss of his wife and children. many people in Hiroshima lost there families and were devastated also. Many people risked their lives to save those they loved.
