How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit then when 1bulb burst the other bulbs will not light up.
I observed that when one light bulb is cut out then the rest of the bulbs will not work.
I observed that the battery caught on fire.
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit then when one bulb burst the other will light up.
I observed that all the lights work. All function correctly.
if you take one light out of the circuit then the other lights will stay on.
I observed that the lights stays on if one is taken out. The battery does not catch fire.
I believe that the series circuit is the best to use for Christmas lights. I believe this because it is simple and easy. A lights are together and easy to handle.
