Propaganda Poster (Animal Farm)

In the propaganda poster above, the type of propaganda that is portrayed is, "glittering generalities," which could also link to propaganda in the form of fear. This type of propaganda takes away positive emotions from an audience, in this case, Squealer is using the animal's fear of the possibility of Mr. Jones coming back. Another type of propaganda delineated is "bandwagon" propaganda. In this case of propaganda the goal is to persuade the audience (the animals) to take a certain course in action. The animals don't clearly remember what it was like when Mr. Jones was still in control, but they remember it was horrible. Squealer is using this to get the animals to go along with him and to make the animals do their duties to show that the Animal Farm is better and again, using the fear factor.
