Our Shop

At Café Corner we us 100% organic coffee beans from Brazil and brew the coffee right here, just for you. You can choose from many different flavors and styles. We serve regular sizes and large sizes.

Restrictions-

I can't make more than 500 regular sized cups and 400 large sized cups in a day. I won't be able to spend more than $900 on coffee beans a month

Cost & Prices-

It will cost me $1 an ounce for coffee beans. A regular sized coffee cup needs 2 ounces of beans and a large size needs 3 ounces.

It costs me $2 to make a regular size and I can sell it for $3.

It costs me $3 to make a large and I can sell it for $4,.50.

Equations-

x= # of Regular    y= # of Large

x< or = 500, x > or = 0

y< or = 400, y > or = 0

2x + 3y < or = 900

Profit Plan-

Cost= $2x + $3y     Sell= $3x + $4.50

Profit= $1x + $1.50y

Graph

Maximize Profits

(0,200) P= $1(0) + $1.50(200)= $300

(150,200) P= $1(150) + $1.50(200)= $450

(250,133) P= $1(250) + $1.50(133)= $449.5

(250,0) P= $1(250) + $1.50(0)= $250

I will maximize my profits of each month if I produce 150 of the regular size and 200 of the large.
