In Session 1 I learned how to use the Z mill. That to raise and lower the spindle you to hold the Z+ or the Z-. That to move left and right you hold X+ or X-. And to move the work top you hold Y+ or Y-.
In Session 2 I used the Z mill to mill a square into plastic. Using the ruler i made a 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch square. Using the X and Y axis buttons I went around the perimeter. After I had to clean up all the little pieces of plastic.
In session 3 I used the manual setting of the Z mill to add a diagonal line and a circle to the square. The diagonal line was much easier than the circle. The circle , you had to press more than one button at a time. Mine ended up being a weird oval.
In Session 4 i used the computer to mill a square, a diagonal line and a circle. all were easy because it was computer generated. but they all turned out smaller than anticipate.
In Session 5 I milled a nameplate. By typing my name into the milling software it made my name. I was allowed 2-3 words about me. I chose Aerospace Engineer because that is what I wish to be.
In session 6 i used the Z-mill software to mill a jet. i used per-saved clip art. I just opened it into the window and clicked mill. It milled it by itself.
In session 7 i milled a clip art, my name and a checked box. I was met with the challenge of making my own mill. i had to included a clip art, words and a geometric shape. i chose the Path logo, my name and a box with a check mark.
