Industrial Revolution One Word Summary and Explanation Taylor Kiser 2nd Hr
The Industrial Revolution was a time of innovation. “The iron and textile industries, along with the development of the steam engine, played central roles in the Industrial Revolution, which also saw improved systems of transportation, communication and banking.” This means not only there were great inventions but great improvements to many things. “Industrialization marked a shift to powered, special-purpose machinery, factories and mass production.” A lot of projects were moved out of houses and put in the mills to be mass produced. The price of many goods like cotton, before made or produced in the home dropped in price making it available to more people. Innovations are still being made today from inventions over 100 years ago. Tesla motors is still building on the idea of Thomas Edison’s electric motor. This is how innovation played a major role in the Industrial Revolution.
