FINAL Reminders, Ideas, and Thoughts to Ponder...
Light to my heart...
Dear Ferguson Family,
As I think about crafting my last Reminders, Ideas, and Thoughts to Ponder bulletin for you all, I am struck with many emotions and so many memories , but the greatest emotion is gratitude. I am grateful to each of you for trusting me to help support the incredible, awe inspiring work you undertake each day for students. I have never been more proud of a group of people as I am you all.
I notice the way you keep giving even when you might not know what you have left to give, the way you lift each other up in tough times, the way challenge each other to take the next step, and dedication you give (even after fire evacuations in a monsoon). There is NO greater or more important job than that of a public school teacher and I reflect so often on each of you personally and how you accept this calling even though it certainly isn't the easiest. Often times, the leader of the school seems to be recognized for the incredible accomplishments of the teachers and students and I want you all to know that each of YOU are the reason our students show up each day , the reason Ferguson is a school of choice for so many, the reason for the high student achievement numbers, and the reason for highly satisfied parents. YOU all have made Ferguson Elementary what it is today and I have no doubts you will continue to push each other to excellence. I will take with me the drive, passion, heart, and commitment you all have modeled for me with me to Brookside. You haven't taught just your students, you have taught ME.
My heart looks different than it did before I was touched by you all and always will... change cannot take away the heart prints each of you have given me. Thank you for being the light to my heart and for allowing me to serve you.
Forever touched and always a Sailor,
"What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what woven into the lives of others."-Pericles
Let's make some memories with each other and our students this last week of school!!! Go Sailors!!!!
