By: Mitchell Rogers

Died at age 84. His most notable work was the laws of motion which are still true to this day. His mother remarried and left Isaac with his grandparents and Isaac secretly hated his mother for leaving him. He also hated his step father and even threatened to burn down the house around the family.

Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion

First law - Law of Inertia - An object at rest tends to stay at rest while an object in motion stays in motion

Second Law - States that an applied force on an object equals the rate of change of its momentum with time.

Third Law - States that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

He showed that the coloured light does not change its properties by separating out a coloured beam and shining it on various objects

He was an unorthodox Christian and wouldn't take holy orders in the church of England. He never married and it was believed he died a virgin.
