Can someones genetics determine their future?

  • I am interested in this question because, I take interest in Biology and Science. The fact that the question has to do with someones genetics, means it must have something to do with biology. I think that someones genetics may have an affect on their future. For example, a lifestyle, such as tobacco use, can cause cancers to develop among family members. However, certain patterns may suggest the presence of a hereditary cancer. However, just because a few of your family members may have cancerous cells in there body does not mean that in the future you will have the same thing. DNA testers or doctors may attempt to make the prediction that you could have the same or similar cancerous cells in your body in your future. DNA testers or doctors predictions are not always true.
