The habitat of a species is the most important factor of it's survival. The increase of human civilizations results in habitat loss; the greatest threat to wildlife. Legal hunting helps keep a healthy balance of species in their habitat. There are both natural and man-made ways to manage wildlife. Examples for natural are birth and death rates, predator control, and diseases. Examples of man-made are hunting in its regulations, artificial stocking, and funds/ programs to help supply for wildlife. A wildlife manager maintains the amount of animals in a habitat. Their task is to keep the population under its carrying capacity.
