In session one we learned about the production stages in videos, pre-production, production, and post-production. We also learned about the basic movements of the camera. We also wrote and recorded a news report.
In session 2 we learned mainly about linear and non-linear editing. We used this to help edit our newscast in session 1. After editing we submitted the final newscast.
In session 3 we learned about storyboards and why they are used. We also chose a certain Public Service Announcement topic and created our own storyboard for it. We learned about different types of video production to help us more understand them.
In session 4 we learned how television and film gets to peoples home's. To get to someones home it requires a satellite. In this session we also edited our PSA.
In session 5 we learned how art influenced people in the present and in the past. We also wrote a commercial that we will record in a later session. Along with the writing for it we also storyboard it.
In session 6 we learned about the history of video and how it started. We also learned about how it developed throughout history. We then recorded our final commercial.
In session 7 we went into depth on all of the FCC regulations. We also combined all of the videos produced in this module together. After they have all been combined we burned our final product onto CD.
Video Production Career
One very important career in video production would actually be working in the FCC. Its important because it purges all of the bad things that may not be suitable for certain people such as nudity, profanity, and so on. In the FCC it is important to find all of the things don't fit a certain regulation(s) and get rid of or edit it to fit the regulation(s). Without the FCC the worlds younger citizens would pick up on things they should learn in their adulthood or not at all. FCC is related to this module because they also have to edit video's that are produced and maybe sometimes they produce PSA's.
