Industrial Revolution: Kayla Porter HR. 1
In our world today the human population in infants has increased. There hasn’t been as many deaths in young children. In 1870 there were 170 (per 1,000 children under the age of one year). But by 1910 there were only 117 (per 1,000 children under the age of one year.) So why is this? Well it’s because of the Industrial revolution. Way back in the 1800’s and even before that humans didn’t have much medical education. So that caused more deaths in children, which lowered population. But as technology has gotten more evanced, and people has been able to get more education in the medical field the infant mortality rate has increased.
