How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?
I.V: Type of Circuit D.V: strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb
Hypothesis: If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit, then when one bulb bursts the others will still light up.
Everything that was connected started working, and all of the bulbs lit up.
When the bulb was removed, the little row attached to it stopped working.
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit, then when 1 bulb bursts, the other bulbs will not light up.
As soon as the wires were connected to the battery and the light bulbs, everything started working.
As soon as I took out a bulb, everything immediately stopped working, and the bulbs stopped lighting up.
A parallel circuit is best to use for Christmas lights, because when one bulb gets burned out, everything still continues working.
