Day 5: When I heard about the Emancipation Proclamation, I felt a lot better. I was glad that all of the suffering slaves were to be free and not have and be away from their families. When he was elected, I wasn't so sure that he was going to be a very good president. but now after all he has done, he is a good president and I am happy to have him as a president. After he was assassinated, my heart sank to the bottom of me. He was the best president in history. He has helped this country in so many ways that I can't count them all. I don;t think there will ever be another good president as good as Lincoln.
