How to share PowerPoint lectures

ITSO Faculty Workshop -- February 2014

One question we frequently hear is: How do I share PowerPoint slides with my online students? Some students may not own PowerPoint software to open the slides. There are many ways to solve this problem.

This ITSO workshop will give you experience making your own screencasts using free/low cost programs.  Screencasting is an invaluable skill for online instructors, but can also be a useful skill for all faculty and staff.  All are welcome to this workshop!

Uses for screencasts:

  • Create dynamic content for online classes
  • Demonstrate a process that can be re-watched by audience
  • Better describe a problem for assistance
  • Create a guided web-tour
  • Narrate a presentation
  • Give feedback on an assignment
  • Create training videos

How do I make a screencast?  Come to our workshop!  you'll get the chance to create your very own screencast recording during the workshop!  Sign up for this workshop by clicking on the button below the schedule.
