Investigative Radiology Editor-in-chief
An internationally respected visiting radiology professor with the University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland, Dr. Val Runge also guides the scientific journal Investigative Radiology. As editor-in-chief, he currently is preparing the journal’s 50th anniversary edition, which will include nearly a dozen landmark articles covering the breadth of diagnostic imaging, and will be published in September 2015. At the helm of Investigative Radiology for 22 years, Dr. Val Runge, emphasizes in the journal leading-edge research and technological advancements in the clinical diagnostic imaging arena.
Dr. Runge’s previous experience includes a position with the University of Kentucky Medical Center in the 1990s. He directed activities of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Center and served as the Rosenbaum Endowed Chair of Diagnostic Radiology.
Having authored 16 textbooks over his career, Dr. Val Runge most recently published books include Neuroradiology: The Essentials with MR and CT (Thieme 2015) and The Physics of Clinical MR Taught through Images (Thieme, 3rd Ed., 2014).
