Consequences of Driving Under The Influence

Driving under the influence has been and always will be a major problem in the world. Each day, people drive drunk almost 300,000 times, but fewer than 4,000 are arrested. In 2013, a total of 1,149 children 14 and younger were killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes. Of those 1,149 fatalities, 200 (17%) occurred in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes. Out of those 200 deaths, 121 (61%) were occupants of vehicles with drivers who had bacs of .08 or higher. We shouldn't increase those numbers or become another statistic.

Remember to plan ahead if you know you are going out to drink. Get a sober friend to drive you or get a cab because if you step in that car while under the influence you could ended up riding in an ambulance.

There are many more stories like this one. Increasing everyday because people fail to listen to one rule that could change a life forever. Nobody should have to go through this especially children. You can donate to help people who have been through this by going to this link below.
